Top It Off

What better way to start the New Year than to show you my recent top purchases? Let’s start…

Target:

Merona Women’s Layering Tee

This layering tee is perfect on it’s own or paired with a vest, sweater, or just a scarf. Lightweight and comfortable. Also seen here.

Macy’s:

Lucky Brand Long-Sleeve Brushed-Knit Cardigan

I wanted this cardigan so bad last year, but by the time I went to purchase it after Christmas it was sold out in my size. When I found it 50% off on Lucky’s website I snatched it up as quick as I could and I’m so glad I did. It’s sold out on Lucky’s website, but it’s still available at Macy’s. Feels lightweight, but this cardigan is actually really warm. Also seen here.

Loft:

Mixed Media Sweatshirt Tee | Color Block Bateau Tee
Lou & Grey Signaturesoft Back Zip Tunic | Marled Two-In-One Sweater

Wore the first top to my birthday dinner and it was the perfect dress up or dress down option. The other three tops I ordered online and should be arriving this week. I’m really excited to get them because Veronika at Veronika’s Blushing did a snapchat review of the bateau tee and back zip tunic and she made me even more thrilled I placed my order when I did because I think these will go fast!

I’ve been wearing the layering tee and Lucky Brand cardigan on repeat! Lots of sales are happening this time of year so take advantage of them! Until next post…xoxo Becca

Rain Rain Go Away

Rain rain go away, come again another day. Does anyone remember this from their childhood? Our desire for the rain to go away probably stemmed from wanting to go outside to play or have recess during school. As an adult and homeowner I’m happy to see the rain watering my yard and flowerbeds. I will follow that statement with this one…enough is enough. This has been the rainiest season I can remember, especially during the “summer” months. Typically by this time of the year all us Texans are begging for winter weather. Instead, I just want to see some sun!

Somehow I managed to make it through 4 years of college with no rain boots. How? I have no idea because our campus has areas where water pools. On several occasions I remember walking across campus barefoot because my flip flops wouldn’t stay on my feet from the water suctioning them off.

Fast forward years after college and I’m starting to think I need to invest in rain boots (or a boat at this point). The ever popular Hunter rain boots are outside my budget and I thought this may be the case for others. Here are a few budget friendly rain boots and because I’m from the south…where to get monogram decals for your new rain boots đŸ˜‰

1. Nordstrom 2. Target 3. Decals, Etsy 4. DSW

Good luck staying dry my friends! Until next post…xoxo Becca
