Gray or Grey? Who knows, but for this post I will go with gray to keep it consistent. For a long time I have had an obsession with the color. I’m not sure when it started, but like black & white, I tend to lean toward the classic, neutral, and very versatile color often 🙂
Gray is good for cozy-wear, wear to work, and formal events. Overall it is a great color to dress up or down. I never realized how attracted to it I was until I came across a light gray Michael Kors handbag I feel in love with. That is also when I became aware of the large amount of gray pieces I already had in my closet. While many outfits can be styled monotone, it is perfectly paired with pops of color, patterns, or other neutrals. For example, this leopard scarf, also linked below. The color is good for all seasons, rain or shine, sleek or comfy…you decide!
Many people may associate the color with old, as in hair, gloomy or bleak, like the weather, or even institutionalize, think hospital. For me, that is not the case. It’s like a clean palette to work on. Creativity is key when styling an outfit.

I get excited to watch award shows every year, but not for the awards, for the fashion 🙂 This year the Golden Globe Awards’ Red Carpet saw a lot of embellishments, embroidery, floral, and yellow…yes yellow! I am not normally a lover of lace, but Lily Collins’ dress was to die for. It was so whimsical!
Congratulations to Emma Stone (love her) for best actress in a comedy or musical for La La Land, The Crown for best television drama series, and Claire Foy for best actress in a television drama for The Crown.
