Color in Fall

Color in Fall | Lexi & Lady

Fall color doesn’t have to be all about muted or the traditional camel, mustard, olive, etc. In fact, the Pantone Color Institute added a lot of fun colors to the 2018 fall/winter palette. I added two bright colors to this outfit I wore last week for work. The weather was rainy and overcast and I needed something to brighten the day. I paired the pink top with a neutral navy cardigan from Target and yellow/gold Kate Spade earrings friends got me last year for my birthday. They’re so light and comfortable and add a little glam to any outfit. Fall colors are my favorite every year, but some days call for a lively vibe. Do you tend to wear color in the fall or stick to darker colors?

Temps are supposed to go back up this week and I couldn’t be more upset about it. That’s the thing with Texas weather, it teases you with cooler days and then disappears! One day maybe I will live in a place with four season. In the meantime, the cooler temps have me dreaming of our fall vacation in Europe two years ago. It was beautiful and magical! Couldn’t have picked a better time to go in my mind. Walking through the leaf covered grounds of Versailles in Paris and Hyde Park in London will be memories I cherish forever and think about every fall.

Today is the hub’s birthday! We celebrated yesterday by going to Fogo de Chao in The Woodlands and spent the rest of the day relaxing. He’ll have today and Tuesday off work so I am sure he will continue to soak up the quiet and relax some more. We are looking for an inexpensive weekend getaway so share your suggestions in the comments below!

Until next post…xoxo Becca
