Before getting to this bell sleeve top, yesterday’s message at church was delivered by Coach Matt Deggs. One point that stuck out to me during his message was: there are two types of people in the world; those who are humble and those who are about to be humbled. Your career or title should not be your defining attribute. It can quickly be taken from you.
The message reminded me this life isn’t about me, it’s about what I can do for other people and that is the ultimate definition of servant leadership. You can lead from any position whether you have a title or not. Strive to be honest, faithful, and serve others. I hope my teammates can say those things about me. I truly care about their well being, happiness, and growth. In my line of work there is high turnover, but in the 2-3 years they are with me I hope they feel valued and that I add to their personal and/or professional growth. It’s one of the things I love about working with students too, they grow so much in the time they are with you. I understand I have a responsibility to them as well as the full time staff.
Now if you are here for the bell sleeve outfit details I have stashed those below. I bought the green bell sleeve top at Marshall’s and can’t find it online now, but I linked a couple similar ones in the widget below. In other news, today, November 5, is National Love Your Red Hair Day! National Love Your Red Hair Day is designed to empower redheads to feel confident, look amazing and rock their beauty. Many people don’t believe I am a redhead, but it’s true! I was born with bright red hair and it has changed colors over the year. Don’t the fair skin and freckles give it away!?!? 🙂
