Hello again! This was another outfit I purchased with the intent of shooting for a more casual Valentine’s Day look. The moto jacket ended up being too small for me, but the top is a real winner. I have dressed it up for work and also worn it out to dinner with friends.
This time of year is always tricky because the weather is warming up, but sometimes too cool to wear a light top. If you’re in Texas then it could be 75 during the day and drop down to 60 by night. Always catches me off guard too!
I would pair this transitional casual outfit with skinny jeans and cuff the jeans to show off the cute sandals. White skinny jeans would be perfect with this top and sandals once the temperatures permanently warm up. Add a casual clutch to complete the outfit for a night out.
Ironically, this, plus last Monday’s post were both spring inspired. The warmer temperatures had me excited about spring looks and then the weather changed to rainy and cold. I hope this transitional casual outfit brings some brightness to your day. It seems the weather may be yucky in my region for the rest of the week. Stay dry out there!

Yes there has been a lack of posts lately. As I shared in this post, I started a new job. Between learning new things and starting new projects, I haven’t had a lot of time for my hobby. However, don’t think I haven’t been thinking about all the lovely people who visit Lexi & Lady.

Now onto today’s post; classy spring dresses. It’s only February and I am coveting the beautiful spring colors and light, airy fabrics. The spring always seems like a great time to wear a classy dress. Whether it’s for work, for a bridal or baby shower, or for date night.
This dress is the one I ordered and was too small to shoot for a dressed up Valentine’s Day option. It’s a true wrap dress and is available in a lot of fun colors. One of my Christmas gifts from the hubs are these L.K. Bennett “Florete” pumps. You may have seen them before…on Kate Middleton’s feet! She has such a classic style and I’m glad to have gotten my hands on some beautiful nude shoes. The bag was also a gift! It is from my sweet sweet friends who know I appreciate a functional designer bag. Cross body bags are so convenient for many events, especially travel 😉
