Fall Transitional Footwear

Fall Transitional Footwear | Lexi & Lady

This time of year in Texas is tough on decision making when it comes to clothes. The temperatures have dropped slightly and gives you that “fall morning” feeling, but by mid-day it has warmed up again. Just yesterday I stood in front of my closet and wondered what I should wear on my feet. I finally opted for these Lucky Brand Kikah Sandal in brown with jeans, a white tank (similar), and a light open front sweater (similar). A coworker expressed having a similar struggle in deciding on shoes. It made me think many of you might be experiencing the same hardship and thus here we are…a fall transitional footwear post haha

I lean toward suede and muted colors for fall and winter. Even though we are entering a season where many of the colors are deep and rich, lighter and brighter colors like the “deep red” found in the Corso Como Callie Flat or caramel color in the Enzo Angiolini Debbie Suede Pointed Toe Pump are great for this transitional time.

Don’t forget patterns! Leopard is all the rage this season so grab some while you can. Here are two flat options at opposite ends of the price scale, but equally perfect; Sam Edelman Rivera Genuine Calf Hair Flat vs A New Day Women’s Rebecca Pointed Two Piece Ballet Flats.

I added a ton of other options in the widget below so be sure to explore and see if any fit your fall transitional style tastes.

Hope you enjoyed this post. I had a good time putting it together for you! Keep those fingers crossed it cools down out there. I am ready to break out my cozy sweaters and scarves.

Until next post…xoxo Becca

Hi all! I shared this outfit on Instagram. You need this blouse in your life. It’s so versatile, comfy, and get this…fully lined! I typically shy away from white blouses because they’re so thin and see through. I still wear a cami under this one, but you can’t see the outline of it which is so nice. If I had some weight in the fashion industry I would ask for white tops to be thicker!

Anyhow, this blouse is great half-tucked into skinny pants, with a pencil skirt, or under a vest or long cardigan with jeans for a more casual look. Get it while you can! Similar style in a floral print.

In other news, I am happy to report I have survived two weeks of recruitment/travel season. Part of the Admissions world is recruiting and I had forgotten how much I enjoy speaking with prospective students. While the recruitment schedule is exhausting, the students who get excited to see you there because your university is their top choice or leave your table excited about the potential of attending your university is infectious. I have been in Dallas and North Texas and this week you can find me in Waco/Austin. I definitely miss the hubs and Lexi though!

Big week next week as my office and another on campus pull off a week’s worth of graduate school exploration events for our undergrad population. Wish us luck!

Also, who is excited for fall? I am already so excited about the clothes haha Not that our budget truly allows for large clothing expenditures, but I can always window shop right? I only need the fall temperatures to arrive because the Texas heat is about to kill me.

Off to sleep, because it’s another day of recruitment tomorrow. Wanted to get this up on Monday (even if it’s almost 9pm)!

Until next post…xoxo Becca
