Boston Recap

Hello! Happy Monday! The long overdue Boston recap is finally here. The hubs and I traveled with our favorite travel buddies for a weekend in Boston. I have to start this post by saying the people there are SO nice. We encounter so many helpful and friendly individuals who took the time to see if we needed directions, a recommendation, and even to tell us the story behind a memorial we weren’t quite sure about.

I will share a vacation guide soon and share where we stayed and restaurant recommendations.

Friday

Our plane left Houston early Friday morning and by noon we (read as the hubs and friends) were eating lobster rolls. We had pre-purchased tickets to tour Fenway Park and spent the majority of the first day there. The tour guides were so informative and the guys loved sitting in the Green Monster (we’re talking giddy with excitement lol). Then we made the trek back to the hotel to change and get ready for dinner.

Saturday

Saturday was a full day! By 10am we had sampled 5 beers haha We took the Samuel Adams’ brewery tour before locating the [red] brick road, aka the Freedom Trail. Before starting the Freedom Trail, we took a minute to walk through the Boston Public Library, talk about impressive! It was chilly that day, but the sun was shinning and the weather was beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. The following week Boston experienced blizzards!

After seeing the sites along the Freedom Trail we walked through Beacon Hill and Acorn Street (“The most photographed street in Boston”) and stopped at Cheers for a drink before dinner.

Sunday

Before heading home on Sunday we had brunch at a restaurant a friend recommended and walked through Harvard’s campus and Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall.

It was a great weekend! My fitbit said we walked over 17,000 steps both Friday and Saturday so I would say all the delicious food we ate was needed đŸ˜‰

Until next post…xoxo Becca
