Pop of Color: Bright Cardigan with Neutral Base

Pop of Color: Bright Cardigan with Neutral Base

Hi everyone! Did you miss me? When 2018 began I had every intention of writing two posts a week and had even made a tentative editorial calendar with all my thoughts and ideas for the year. It took a lot of effort and I was really excited to bring you more content throughout the year. If you read this post, then you know I started a new job in a slightly familiar department. Being on this new team has been wonderful and also a lot of work. My focus has been on learning my new position, getting to know my teammates, and determining the best way to move forward with the tasks I have been given. I love it! I love my team! It just leaves very little time for you all here on the blog. I’ve been posting some on social media, but for the most part it’s been pretty quiet. Sorry for that. This is still a place I like to come to share inspiration and I hope it will continue to be a place you enjoy visiting as well. I want to work harder at posting regularly, but no promises! Thank you for the continued support. Now let’s get to the post…

During the dreary winter months, it’s hard not to get stuck in a rut when it comes to fashion. Who falls into the cycle of black, gray, and navy on repeat, but can’t wait to add a pop of color for spring/summer?! I certainly do! As the seasons transition (and year round) you can always add a pop of color with a bright cardigan or blazer. No need to wait until it’s warm enough to wear tank tops, skirts, and flirty summer dresses.

I wore this outfit yesterday and got a ton of compliments on it. The cardigan is from Old Navy, but is no longer available in this bright color so I shared a few bright options below. The black and white shell, that’s from Loft (years ago), but is a classic black and white basic that will never go out of style. Beyond work this would be cute for a date night or girls night. Pair it with heels, flats, or boots (if it’s still cold where you are location)! Shop the items below to recreate a similar look.

Until next post…xoxo Becca
