Baby Products We Love 9-12 Months

Baby Products We Love 9-12 Months | Lexi & Lady

If you haven’t been keeping up, here’s a recap of products we love from the last year:

0-3 months

3-6 months

6-9 months

In all honesty I didn’t realize I would do this for Baby G’s whole first year. I wrote the initial post for a few friends who asked what they should put on their baby registry. Turns out I created a baby registry list for a whole year!

Baby Smock with Long Sleeves
The more Baby G explores food, the messier it seems to get. A bib is great, but between the smashed avocado and blueberries, I was tired of cleaning his clothes after he ate. That’s where this long sleeve baby smock comes in handy. It covers him completely and I can easily wipe it down after every meal. Plus the patterns are fun!

NUK Simply Natural Learner Cup
While he’s learning to eat, we are also trying to transition away from bottles (sloooowly!). It took him a while to learn to keep up with the amount of liquid he was sucking out of this cup. In the beginning, more of it poured out of his mouth and onto him than he swallowed. He’s gotten better and loves to grab this cup in between shoveling food in his mouth. I also haven’t experienced the cup leaking so that’s a plus.

Rubbermaid Brilliance Leak-Proof Food Storage
Not a baby specific item, but it’s note worthy. I had been eyeing these for a few years before purchasing. They are pretty pricey when you compare getting a ton of cheap plastic ones at the grocery store. Because this is leak-proof and air tight, they are perfect for the foods I prep for Baby G. Even avocado stays fresh longer compared to any other container I have used.

Instant Pot
Another non-baby specific item, but I find myself using this to prep food. We owned our Instant Pot for a few years and I thought I would use it more than I do. When I started prepping food for Baby G I started reaching for the Instant Pot more and more because I can drop a whole bunch of produce into a steamer basket and steam it for a couple of minutes. I start the Instant Pot and can walk away to tackle something else while it does its thing.

Baby Einstein Discovering Music Activity Table
A friend passed this down from her babies. Besides the fact that Baby G LOVES music, this activity table is his jam. As soon as I put him on the floor he crawl right to it. At this point he likes it more than his jumper.

Let’s talk tech! I realized I use these apps all the time and have never talked about them. From the 0-3 month post I shared the Nanit video baby monitor. It comes with an app so we can check in on Baby G from anywhere. This is great when the hubs is working and wants to see him. From day 1 we also started using Baby Tracker. You can record feedings, diaper changes, sleep patterns, and growth. It’s great for saving data to share with doctors. During newborn foggy brain it also kept me on track with when to feed next and when breastfeeding, which side to use! The last app we use is FamilyAlbum. Early on we realized family members were snapping pictures of Baby G that we never saw. The best thing about this app is your can add contributors and they can add their photos too! Unlimited storage, no ads, and it’s free!

I will wrap up here. I feel like I was very wordy this post. Until next post…xoxo Becca

Baby Products We Love 6-9 Months

Baby Products We Love 6-9 Months

It’s important to note the majority of Baby G’s 6-9 months was spent in quarantine. You will notice a lot of the items are reflective of how we kept him entertained during Zoom meetings!

Lovevery
A subscription box with educational toys for stage-based learning. It’s a little on the pricey side so I consider it a splurge for sure, but Baby G loves the products so we have continued to get boxes. I would say this would make a great gift if you’re wanting to “send” something for a year.

Radio Flyer Wagon with Canopy
Oh my goodness! We randomly brought this thing out at my in-laws house and assembled it. So glad we did because he loves it. I love that it has a canopy so he’s not in direct sunlight (hello pale skin!).

SwimSchool Splash Play Mat
For those hot days, we would pull out this splash pad and let him enjoy some sun and water. There is something about water that makes him go crazy. He has the best time! I bought him a rashguard set from Carters and can’t wait to get him in the pool soon.

Evenflo Play Space
With a boy on the move we had to get our hands on something to contain him. We purchased ours from Amazon and there was not 2-day shipping. Apparently Amazon did not know what was “essential” to me haha It’s easy to set up and move around as needed.

Little Tikes Outdoor Swing
Baby G’s aunt got this for him from the “Easter Bunny” and he giggles so much when he’s in it. I remember having one of these when I was little and it was on my list of items to purchase, but she beat me too it.

Kiddo Feedo Baby Food Storage Container and Freezer Tray
Before moving into quarantine, I was starting to make Baby G’s food. This freezer tray came in handy. Each well is 2 oz. I now use it for other things like saving Pedialyte after I have opened a bottle and don’t want it to go to waste.

Nuby Ice Gel Teether Keys
Teething is hard! Baby G loves these. They thaw out quickly so I have a few other teether toys I rotate in and out while these refreeze. There’s always the old ice cubes in a washcloth trick too.

NailFrida The SnipperClipper
Game changer! I always hated clipping Baby G’s nails and I have cut his little fingertips a time or two. Their nails are so tiny and no matter how careful I was being it would always happen. Hello mom guilt. The clippers I had broke so I ordered these and love them. I just wish it had a light on it…that would be the end all pair of nail clippers in my mind! These have a “spyhole” so you see  where you are are cutting and the blades are a little different too, they cut more like scissors.

Squid Socks
Baby G would rub his feet/legs together until the skin was raw so we started putting him in socks every day. He hates things on his feet so he would eventually get the socks off. It was a constant battle at home and at daycare. Then I heard about Squid Socks (Shark Tank) and ordered some. Hooked, he has a lot of trouble getting them off, though he has succeeded. I will say, they are expensive for baby socks and they aren’t the best quality in my opinion, but they do stay on much much better than any other sock we tried.

Zipper Pajamas
I don’t know why I haven’t shared this sooner. WHY don’t all baby pajamas come with zippers? Who wants to be snapping a million snaps in the middle of the night or with a screaming baby. Zippers are the way to go. I love these 2-way zipper pjs from Carters and the inverted zipper of these from Wonder Nation are awesome. Register for a ton of zipper pajamas and if you’re gifting clothes…get some zipper pjs! They’ll love you forever!
